Painting flats and houses in Brno

Good painting is the basis of a clean, fresh interior. In Brno and the surrounding area we work tidily, cover floors and furniture, and choose paint that lasts and looks good.

Painter in Brno: flats, houses and offices

We paint walls and ceilings in flats, family homes and commercial premises. We work with white and coloured paints, we recommend washable paints for kitchens and children’s rooms, and with richer or darker shades we make sure the wall does not look streaky. For larger areas we can paint with airless spraying, which speeds up the work.

Guide prices: walls in white paint from 40 CZK/m², coloured shades and ceilings from 50 CZK/m², washable finishes from 65 CZK/m², rich and dark shades from 70 CZK/m², airless from 35 CZK/m². Additional work is priced separately, for example covering floors and furniture (from 15 CZK/m²), wall preparation or painting doors and radiators (from 500 CZK/pc). The complete overview is in the price list.

How painting works

During the visit we agree on shades, scope and timing. Before painting we cover floors and furniture, repair minor unevenness and prime the walls. We usually apply the paint in two coats, depending on the colour and the base. After the work we clean up and hand the space over to you clean. If you are also planning wallpaper or decorative plaster in the same room, we can combine the work into a single job.

Answers to common questions

Frequently asked questions

How much does painting a flat cost in Brno?

Painting walls in white paint starts from 40 CZK/m², coloured shades and ceilings from 50 CZK/m². The final price reflects the area of the walls, the condition of the base, the ceiling height and any repairs. So we do not price by floor area, but by the area that is painted. We prepare a free, no-obligation quote after a visit.

How much does a painter cost and what is charged separately?

The basic rates are from 40 CZK/m² for a white wall and from 50 CZK/m² for coloured shades and ceilings. Charged separately are covering floors and furniture from 15 CZK/m², wall preparation, for example filling from 80 CZK/m² and priming from 20 CZK/m², and painting a door or radiator from 500 CZK/pc. You will get an exact breakdown in the quote.

How long does it take to paint a flat?

It depends on the size of the flat, the number of coats, the condition of the walls and whether unevenness has to be repaired first. A small repaint takes a short time, while a larger flat with wall preparation needs more days. We give an estimate during the visit and agree the date in advance. We cover floors and furniture and clean up after the work.

Do I have to move the furniture out before painting?

You do not. We cover the furniture together with the floor; it only helps to take down pictures in advance and clear small items from shelves and windowsills. If the furniture would be in the way completely, we will agree during the visit how to move it. Covering floors and furniture is priced from 15 CZK/m² in the price list.

What paint should I choose for a kitchen and a children’s room?

For a kitchen and a children’s room we recommend washable paints that stand up to wiping. They start from 65 CZK/m². We choose the shade according to the light in the room and, if you wish, make a test patch. Richer and darker shades are from 70 CZK/m², because they need more careful work so the wall does not look streaky.

When is airless painting suitable?

Airless is a spraying technique for large areas, for example a whole flat, a house or an empty commercial space. It is faster than a roller and starts from 35 CZK/m² in the price list. It does require careful covering of everything that must not be sprayed, so in a furnished flat it mainly makes sense after thorough preparation. We will advise during the visit whether it pays off in your case.

Do you paint outside Brno, for example in villages or nearby towns?

Yes, we paint in Brno and its surroundings. In your enquiry, tell us the town or village and the scope of work, and we will reply whether we can visit you for a survey. The visit and the quote are free. We also take smaller jobs, for example painting a single room. You will find an overview of the places where we work on the Painter in Brno page and at the bottom of the site.
