Painter in Kuřim: painting and decorative plaster

Decorative plaster for a house or flat in Kuřim

Kuřim is a town north-west of Brno with family houses, newer housing and apartment buildings. Decorative plaster here is most often done in living rooms and entrance halls, where the finish should catch the eye as soon as you arrive. We also use it in a bedroom behind the bed or in a study.

What to choose

Venetian plaster from 1 800 CZK/m² has a deep, slightly glossy surface similar to polished stone. Marmorino from 1 700 CZK/m² is softer. Marble effect starts from 1 800 CZK/m². For a natural stone look there is travertine from 1 500 CZK/m², and for an industrial style a concrete effect from 1 200 CZK/m². Simpler skim coats and decorative paint finishes start from 650 and 690 CZK/m².

Procedure and sample

First we look at the wall and agree on the choice of finish and shade. We prepare the base: remove old paint, fill unevenness and prime. Then we apply the plaster in layers. Before work begins we can make a sample directly on your wall, so you can see the result in the light you have at home. You will find details about the base on the wall preparation page.

Where the plaster goes

In a living room, decorative plaster is most often done on the wall behind the television or the sofa, in a hall on the wall by the staircase or the entrance, in a bedroom behind the bed. A niche or a column also stands out in a bold shape. A smaller area means a lower price, because you pay for the area being treated.

Caring for the finish

A decorative finish is usually protected after completion with a suitable top coat, and caring for it is undemanding. You will get specific advice on how to clean the finish from us at handover, depending on the technique used.

Harmony with the rest of the house

A decorative wall should go with the floor, the furniture and the colour of the surrounding walls. That is why during the visit we go through the whole space and propose a shade that will not compete with its surroundings. Those who want a calmer result choose the softer marmorino, those who want a bolder one, Venetian plaster or travertine.

Painting and wallpaper in Kuřim

Besides decorative plaster we do painting (from 40 CZK/m² in white) and wallpapering (from 150 CZK/m²). Jobs can be combined: for example a decorative wall in the living room and painting the rest of the flat. Prices are a guide, and we prepare an exact quote after a free visit.
