Painter in Brno-Bystrc: painting and decorative plaster

Bystrc by the reservoir: flats and houses

Bystrc lies by the Brno reservoir and the housing is varied: a large panel-block estate with family houses beside it. Here we most often deal with painting flats, replacing wallpaper and transforming one wall in the living room. Family houses are painted room by room or all at once during a renovation.

Smaller flats and light colours

In smaller flats colour has a big effect on the feeling of space. Light shades visually open a room up, while one richer or darker wall adds depth. We paint rich and dark shades from 70 CZK/m² so they are even and free of streaks, ordinary coloured ones from 50 CZK/m² and white from 40 CZK/m². For a kitchen and a children’s room we recommend washable paints from 65 CZK/m².

Hallway, bedroom and living room

A hallway in a panel flat tends to be narrow and dark. A light coat of paint or wooden slats, which visually stretch the space and give it rhythm, will help. For the bedroom, wallpaper behind the bed from 150 CZK/m² suits well, and for the living room a decorative skim coat from 650 CZK/m².

Light in the flat

Flats with south-facing windows tend to have plenty of light and can take cooler shades; in north-facing rooms warmer and lighter colours suit better, so they do not look gloomy. During the visit we look at the light first, because it affects how the shade finally looks.

Painting while you live there

If you live in the flat during painting, we agree the order of rooms so that at least one is always available. We cover furniture and floors and clean up at the end. It is worth clearing the windowsills and taking down pictures, as that saves time. Covering floors and furniture is charged from 15 CZK/m² and is shown in the quote.

Bathroom and kitchen

In a kitchen and a bathroom allow for a washable finish from 65 CZK/m², so the walls stand up to steam and wiping. For a bathroom we can also offer a skim coat with a concrete or travertine effect, but because of the water it is better to discuss everything during the visit.

Family houses

In family houses we most often deal with painting several rooms at once, staircases and ceilings. For larger areas we suggest airless spraying from 35 CZK/m², which saves time. Wall preparation, for example filling from 80 CZK/m², is listed separately in the quote. You will find all items in the price list and an overview of services on the Painter in Brno page.
